Jewelry Trade Associations in the US

Below is a list of industry associations and organisations connected to the jewelry trade in the United States. Inevitably there is some overlapping areas, but broadly they are categorised as:
Gemological Associations - Usually dedicated to education in gemstones and diamonds.
Appraiser Associations - Education and training is a large part of most of these associations activities. They are normally involved with marketing of members' appraisal services too.
Jeweller Associations - These typically are involved in promotion of jewelry and watches, and protecting their members’ interests. There are usually few criteria that need to be met for membership but some offer extensive training courses to set their membership apart from retail jewelers who are not within their organisation. Some offer stores specialist services such as legal advice or financial services.
Ancillary Industry Organisations - These are associations who are connected to gem and jewelry appraisal in an oblique way, for example training and governing bodies dealing with Expert Witnesses.

The American Jewelry Industry Associations shown below, are arranged alphabetically.
