About this Association

The Academy of Experts was founded in 1987 with the aim of providing a professional body for experts to establish and promote high objective standards. The Academy is run by Experts for Experts and those using them by an elected Council.

The Academy offers a comprehensive training programme to enable members to develop and maintain their expert skills. The courses range from the basic Role and Responsibilities of the Expert Witness through to the requirements of court Procedure Rules and the practice of Giving Evidence.

The Academy is also a training and accrediting body for Alternative Dispute Resolution Neutrals including Mediators and Expert Determiners and maintains a Register of those who are qualified earning the designatory letters QDR.
