I Wanted to appraise and verify a diamond ring I had bought abroad to ensure I received what I had paid for. Valentina was extremely flexible and accommodating with her appointments and I instantly felt comfortable with how everything was handled. I arrived to a very friendly valentina which was great as I was nervous taking such an expensive item to a place I had never been. Valentina is a great listener, we sat down and she listened and understood exactly what I wanted and what choices I was considering (sell, remake or insure) and was able to give me valuable advice by leaning on her vast experience and contacts. Her insight was detailed, factual and valuable. With all the analysis carried out on the ring she was able to show me and explain clearly the characteristics of the diamond and I felt a thorough analysis was carried out, she also handled the piece with great care. Overall valentina was brilliant, I felt the service I received was bespoke and for valentina it is about bringing value to the customer and not just about the money. I felt as though I took a huge amount of value from my appointment and I was able to make an informed decision by leaning on valentina's expertise. I decided to insure the ring and the process was easy and I received a professional valuation document which I am very happy with within a week. Valentina came to my home to value three rings which had belonged to my mum. I needed a new valuation for insurance purposes as the previous valuation was 16 years out of date!
The whole process was very smooth from start to finish. Valentina gave me the choice of going to her Loughton office or to come to mine, at my convenience. I had not realised that valuing jewellery involved so many different aspects. Valentina demonstrated expertise and an impressive breadth of knowledge as she explained each step. Wonderful Service and Educative Experience

I had some items to be valued for insurance purposes and I found Valentina online and chose her because of her reviews and because she is local to me. What a find! She responded immediately and we were able to arrange the meeting very quickly. I had the most enjoyable and educative experience. The five items I had intended to have valued extended to nine items through our conversations on the process she followed to appraise and value the diamond items I had brought. There was even some detective work involved when one vintage item turned out to actually be an Edwardian era conversion. I am now armed with so much more knowledge and insight that my rummaging through auctions will be even more enjoyable and rewarding. As well as being an extremely experienced and qualified expert, Valentina is a really warm, friendly and engaging person who makes the whole process a fantastic journey into the provenance and facts around your jewellery, and an education and insight into the world of jewels. I have read and reread the valuation report as it is so interesting. I would not hesitate to recommend her and I look forward to having a reason to see her again soon.

Amazing, Highly Highly Recommended

Val is amazing and very knowledgeable. She came to our home to advise on a stone we have a in ring which we knew had diamonds in a platinum setting along with a green stone in the middle we had no idea except we knew that it was not an Emerald. She spent time with us looking at the ring and running various non damaging tests and said that the stone was a green tourmaline....... amazing service, very conscious of current covid circumstances and wore a mask all the time she was in the house. Val is very pleasant to spend time with and extremely knowledgeable on jewels - we would 100% recommend and use again if we needed too.
