About this Appraiser

LaGravinese Appraisal Services is primarily a mobile service covering the entire state of Arizona. If you prefer, you may attend one of their offices in several Arizona locations.

Tom and Janet carry out the appraisal of your jewelry, diamonds, watches, gemstones and sterling silverware in the privacy and security of your home, bank or office. They attend each appointment as a couple, and your jewelry will not leave your sight during that time. There are no extra charges for this home-visit service - but minimums may apply in certain areas.

The only requirements upon arrival are a table, power outlet, and a well-lit area. Tom and Janet offer a fast, completely discreet service. Their vehicles are unmarked, and their service is designed to cause the minimum inconvenience to you.

Items that can be appraised include fine karat gold jewelry, platinum jewelry, cut gemstones, diamonds, sterling silver jewelry, Native American jewelry, sterling silverware, luxury watches, antique/estate jewelry and finer costume jewelry.
They do NOT appraise ivory jewelry or figurines, jade figurines or rough uncut gemstones.

Tom LaGravinese

Tom has been in the jewelry industry all his life. He is a 3rd generation jeweler. He graduated from the Gemological Institute of America in 1977 as a Graduate Gemologist in Residence.

His family business began in New York in 1921 as a manufacturing retail jeweler. At that point, Tom was involved in all the facets of the company, from purchasing diamonds, gold and gemstones to the point of sale with clients. He now uses this experience and knowledge to value jewelry for Private and Public Auction Houses, IRS donations, Law Enforcement agencies, Attorneys, Fiduciaries and Estate Planners.

He is also a professional speaker and travels statewide, educating others on the care, purchase, reselling, donating and equitable distribution of their precious items.

Janet LaGravinese

Janet is GIA Accredited Jewelry Professional and has been involved in the jewelry industry for over 35 years. She and her husband Tom were the owners of LaGravinese Jewelers in New York, which specialized in custom jewelry design, diamonds and appraisals. She is also a GIA Alumnus and works side by side with Tom to assure that you are getting reliable and knowledgeable service.
