Jarvis Gems and Jewelry Appraisals is a full-service appraisal practice established in 2004 and serves clients from the Dallas and Fort Worth areas and the surrounding cities. The two principal Appraiser Gemologists, Steven W. Jarvis, G.G. and Joyann Cooke, G.G., are both Graduate Gemologists from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and jointly have over 50 years jewelry trade experience. Mr Jarvis is also a Senior Member of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA).

From their North Dallas office and laboratory, a while-you-watch appraisal service is carried out. The company's President, Steven Jarvis has specifically built their systems and procedures to involve you in the appraisal process. He is of the opinion that your time at their offices should be an "experience" and a very pleasant one at that. Work starts at the very beginning of your appointment and you are free to ask questions as your Appraiser works on your items. All microscope work is fed through to a monitor so you not only see how your Appraiser is handling and working on your diamonds and gemstones, you will be seeing what your Appraiser is seeing and this will give you an added insight into your precious items.

You should allow approximately 30 minutes per item plus any consultation time, after which you will typically leave the office with your jewelry and your printed documentation. If you would prefer, you are able to make arrangements to leave your jewelry and return after the appraisal has been completed at a predetermined time.

For your convenience, most services can also be conducted in your home, office or in a bank vault, as well as at their Dallas office. To take advantage of this company's portable laboratory, it is recommended that you have several items for examination to be cost effective.
