Gail Brett Levine is president of Timeless, Inc., a jewelry appraisal and gem consulting company specializing in the appraisal and valuation of antique, estate and period jewelry.
Timeless offer an on-site appraisal service at your home, office, bank or lawyers office with a state-of-the-art portable gemological laboratory. All Timeless professionals research each item to substantiate value conclusions. Appraisals are based on appropriate market comparable sales plus the extensive trade experience and networking capabilities of each Appraiser. Extrapolation from prices guides is only part of their research.
Appraisal for all purposes and functions are performed for private individuals, these include (but are not limited to): Insurance Replacement. Fair Market Value for Estate, Probate, Donation and Casualty Loss. Consumer Resale/Liquidation, Equitable Distribution and Divorce Settlement. Services for corporate clients include: appraisals for Collateral Loan, Bankruptcy and Liquidation, Estates, Trusts and Financial Planning. Timeless also regularly handle work for Government and Law Enforcement agencies.
All appraisals are totally unbiased and independent and are performed with an expedited turn-around time from the initial inspection to presentation of the documentation.
Timeless professionals are members of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA) and participate in NAJA's mandatory education and testing programs. As such, they adhere to the rigid standards and requirements set forth by NAJA's Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, which stresses the appraiser's fiduciary responsibilities and liabilities. They all take part in continuing education at annual conferences and seminars of various gem trade organizations, and are active within the industry as lecturers, writers, and consultants. Color acuity testing is required of all Timeless associates and all comply with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) as promulgated by The Appraisal Foundation.
Ms Levine is also the Executive Director of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers and Founder of the Auction Market Resource and is held in internationally high regard.

Exceptional Trade Service
My experience with Gail Brett Levine and Timeless began, approximately a quarter century ago, when our company, Simms Jewelers, Inc., retained the appraisal services of Gail and the Late Howard Rubin, to take charge of appraisal services to our clientele. That has proven to be one of my more prescient decisions. The knowledge and experience that Timeless, Inc. brings to the appraisal table might be matched by a select few others in the jewelry appraisal field, but certainly not surpassed.
The major fear I had when Simms transitioned to an “Outside” appraiser was how the interaction between our clients and Gail and Howard would work out. NOT TO WORRY! Gail, while being professional at all times, has an uncanny ability to become one with the people with whom she is working. Gail is willing and able to discuss her results and explain how she got to the figure that was on the appraisal. For Simms this is a “must have” ability.
Gail knows, by first name, the jewelry specialists at all the major auctions and the not so major ones. She is in contact with dealers in the exotic as well as the mundane. Her research is never ending. The results of all this effort find their way into the appraisal documents she so assiduously puts forth. The reports that emanate from Timeless, Inc. pass muster with everyone from unsophisticated retail customers to judges in court houses and all stops between.
