About this Valuer
Rachel Kinsella heads this jewellery appraisal business and specialises in valuations for insurance, division of assets and other purposes, providing identification and advice on all things jewellery within Devon and Cornwall.
Ms Kinsella is qualified in the appraisal practice of jewellery, silverware and watches (FoAP) through the National Association of Jewellers, a Certified (Gem-A) diamond grader and CPAA certified pearl specialist through the Cultured Pearl Association of America. Covering Devon and Cornwall.
Rachel will make assessments in the comfort of your own home in Devon and Cornwall, or if you prefer, your jewellery can be assessed on-site at Drake's Auctions in Tavistock, Devon. Your full valuation will then be compiled and sent to you promptly.
Rachel also provides a ‘Jewellery Box Assessment Service.’ Many people have a mixture of jewellery from different sources and periods in their collection. Inherited, gifted and collected over the years. Rachel can sort through your jewellery. Testing unmarked metal and gemstones and provides you with insight into which pieces hold value. This is valuable in making decisions for the future, whether you are looking to sell or considering what to bequeath fairly.

Rachel has also worked in the auction industry for the past nine years, appraising jewellery, art, collectables and other estate chattels. Fantastic, Knowledgeable Service
Appraisal of my elderly mothers jewellery collection. I found Rachel online and immediately gave her a call to assess my elderly Mum's collection of jewellery. I was surprised to find such a specialist locally and one that was really accessible. Rachel was prompt to get back to me and very flexible in arranging an appointment. On meeting Rachel she was absolutely lovely to deal with; she totally knows her stuff and is very efficient, but she is also very down to earth and understanding of individual's situations with regards to estates, wills, and family heirlooms. I will no doubt use Rachel again, especially as she is a new local business. I highly recommend her. Thanks Rachel.

Insurance Valuation
I contacted Rachel as I was looking for an insurance valuation on a watch. The service and responsiveness was excellent. Rachel returned my call within the hour, we arranged an appointment for the following day, and the valuation report was with me the day following that. Throughout, Rachel was very helpful and explained in some detail how the valuation process worked and what to expect.
Overall an excellent service and would recommend.

Top Class Service!
My late wife left instructions that her jewellery collection be sold following her passing and the proceeds donated to certain charities. Being a man I knew absolutely nothing about jewellery but Rachel was able to expertly guide me on what each piece was, what it was made of, what it's value was and where was the best place for me to sell it. As a result I think I was able to get the best price for each item and to donate many thousands of pounds to the charities. I would not hesitate to recommend Rachel to anyone wanting their jewellery appraised.
